Kalsada's first purchase of green coffee from Benguet in 2014 was from Sitio Kisbong. It was from a couple of farmers who could only produce, at the time, about 35 to 50 kilos of green coffee a year and with varying levels of quality. Over the years, as they built and developed mills in Sitio Belis, they continued buying cherries from Kisbong and processed them in Belis.
In 2019, with the partnership of Bo’s Coffee and 14 farmer families, who had committed and had the willingness to run a mill, Sitio Kisbong Mill was born. Kisbong is approximately 17 kilometers from Sitio Belis and sits on the only flat area in the community. Exclusively processing naturals in their first year, coffees from this side of Atok have flavors of tropical fruits.
Daily deliveries of only the ripest cherries are brought to the mill, dried on raised beds for 3 to 5 weeks, and rested in grainpro bags for 4 weeks. The coffees are then hulled and hand-sorted by the same farmers who grow the coffee.
